Work that is missed in a class as a result of absences must be submitted in a timely manner, according to the teacher’s disclosure statement, usually no later than one week after the absence.  Many teachers will not allow a student to hand in late work if the absence is unexcused.  It is the student’s responsibility to get the absence excused in the allotted time so the work can be turned in.  Teachers are not required to allow work to be turned in after the allowed time, no matter when the absence is excused.
