Dixie High School follows the guidelines set by the Utah High School Activities Association.  In order to participate in extracurricular activities, students must have a 2.0 GPA in the preceding term.  Any student who receives more than one failing grade (“F”), no-grade (“NG”) or incomplete (“I”), or any combination of the preceding, is ineligible during the term following the term in which the “F”, “NG” and/or “I” were received.  An “I” or a “NG” is considered an “F” until the grade is made up.  “F” grades cannot be made up to become eligible (except over the summer).  If a student has any unexcused absences (X) the week of an activity, he/she will not be eligible to participate in extracurricular activities for that week.  Extracurricular activities include, but are not limited to, athletics, drama, choir, band, drill team, cheerleading, club activities, and field trips.
